15-year-old midfield sensation Fatawu Ganiwu stars for Black Starlets in 4-0 win over Serbia

Ghana’s Black Starlets put on an impressive display against their Serbian counterparts, triumphing 4-0 in the UEFA Under 16 invitational tournament currently underway in Serbia.

Playing a crucial role in Ghana’s midfield was Fatawu Ganiwu, a talented 15-year-old who represents Division 2 club Sporting Avranches in Madina.

Fatawu exuded confidence throughout the match, serving as an anchor for the midfield. He displayed the calmness of Sergio Busquets when in possession of the ball and the aggression of Michael Essien when battling for it.

Despite playing in the third tier of Ghana’s football league, Fatawu’s exceptional ability to deliver defence-splitting passes to the forward line was a key factor in Ghana’s resounding victory.

The young lad from Madina Zongo emerged victorious in most of the midfield duels, delivering an impressive performance on the tournament’s opening day.

The Starlets will take on 2017 U-17 World Cup runners-up Spain in their second match of the tournament on Saturday.
