Kenzy drops Street Music album

UP and coming musician, Kenzy has launched a 15-song album titled Street Music which aims at inspiring the youth to never give up but chase their dreams and believe in themselves.

The launch held at the Amist Classic Hotel, Awoshie-Barn-Yard, Accra on Saturday, July 1, 2023 saw in attendance music producers, directors and managers including the Acting President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Mr Bessa Simons.

Songs on the album recorded by different sound engineers include Mr President, Ogya, Only Jay, Dreams, Agape, See Kenzy, Accra, True Friend and Cheat Apology.            

In a chat with Graphic Showbiz, Kenzy, real name, Yuushau Iddrissu, said,“three songs on the album, See Kenzy, Dreams and True Friend tell my story as a graduate of the Tuba Islamic Senior High School, Accra, ex- Taekwondo and fencing professional and my struggles through life. It is a way for me to appreciate the streets that shaped me”.

Guests at the event were entertained with performances from Dancehall artistes, Joe Wizzy, Bohy3 Ba as well as Kenzy who put his blend of Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, and Dancehall on show, captivating audiences.

Kenzy who is also a songwriter has been honing his craft for eight years. He released his Extended Play (EP) in February, 2023.

According to the budding artiste who dedicated Street Music to his fans, family and the general music fraternity, the album will be available on all digital streaming platforms, including audiomack, Spotify and Youtube.
