Frank Naro preaches perseverance on Ye Gyina Mu

GHANAIAN artiste cum actor, Frank Naro has joined forces with the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Best Rapper of the Year, Amerado on his latest single titled Ye Gyina Mu (We Still Dey).

The danceable tune has a powerful message that talks about perseverance in times of challenges. Frank Naro encourages listeners to be strong and keep pushing when they face obstacles in life.

“People are going through a lot that we can’t even imagine. Some even pretend to be happy but genuinely, they are not so I was inspired to write this song to encourage people in their low moments.

“If challenges arise, it’s important we remain firm, calm and strong in the midst of it all,” he said.

Ye Gyina Mu was released on Thursday, August 3, 2023 along with its video.

“I always release my songs together with the video because it helps to promote the song and also get others interested to stream the music. The videos also make things easier to identify the song with the musician.

“Many music followers appreciate visuals than audio and that increases their interest in the song,” Frank stated.

Frank Naro explained that collaborating with other acts increases the chance of his music reaching wider streamers.

“Someone can stream my songs because he loves the artiste featured on the song. Everybody needs somebody, so collaboration is good. Even the top acts are stilling featuring other musicians” he told Graphic Showbiz.

Asked why he diverted from acting to music, Frank Naro said he wants to be an all-round entertainer.

“I love music too. I used to sing at church and school. I just decided to be an all-round entertainer because some people like movies and others like music. So I am just serving my fans in both crafts,” he said.

Frank Naro has songs such as Abena featuring Kofi Kinaata, Twa Me 2 which features Medikal & Quamina MP, he also collaborated with Fameye on Do Me and Koom, I Like It featuring Goya Menor among others.

He won Ghana Music Awards UK-Uncovered Act of the Year 2019, Ashanti Region Music Awards-Highlife Act Of the Year 2022, Ghana Entertainment Choice Awards-New Act Of The Year among others.
