Michael Essien complete UEFA License A coaching course

Ex-Black Stars midfielder, Michael Essien, received his badge as a UEFA A Licensed coach after he successfully completed the course.

Essien, 40, has a successful playing career having played for top European teams such as Bastia, Lyon, Chelsea, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Panathinaiko, Persib Bandung and Sabail where he ended his playing career.

While undertaking his coaching course, the former Ghana international was attached to Nordsjaelland where he worked as an assistant coach.

The ex-player broke the new on social media where he expressed gratitude to FC Nordsjaelland and Right to Dream Academy for their support.

“Step by step, I am learning and growing as a coach. Happy to have completed my UEFA A and UEFA Elite Youth A license. Thanks to the family, @fawales, my tutors, my mentor, and RTD/FCN for the support. And big thank you to Tom Vernon and Flemming Pedersen,” Essien posted on Twitter.
