The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reacted to reports that Richard Kingson popularly known as ‘Olele’ was going to lose his job as a goalkeepers trainer and explained that Olele is still at post.

Additionally all the technical staff of the Black Stars including the two assistant coaches are still at post.

The GFA made this known Monday morning at a ceremony which officially outdoored the new Black Stars coach Chris Hughton following the departure of Otto Addo.

Coach Hughton was outdoored at a press conference in Kumasi ahead of the Black Stars match on Thursday.

Coach Hughton is going to be in charge of the Black Stars till December 31, 2024.

The former Brighton and Hove Albion and Newcastle United manager has been in charge of the team since February 2023, following successful negotiations with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ghana Football Association.

Chris Hughton replaces Otto Addo who left the role after the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament that took place in November/December last year.

Details of his contract and other relevant information were announced at the ceremony which was held at the SG Mall at Ayigya in Kumasi.
