Charles Tachie-Menson and Christian Isaac Mensah will lead Team Ghana to the WESPA 2023 World Scrabble Championship in Las Vegas, United States of America (USA), from July 22 to 26.
The duo will spearhead a five-man team, which will include George Addo, Victor Amartey and Fatawu Bayenang.
Tachie-Menson was crowned the National Scrabble Champion at a two-day championship held at the Media Centre of the Accra Stadium on February 4 and 5.
The 20-game qualification tournament organised by the Scrabble Association of Ghana (SCAG) for its elite players to select Ghana’s five representatives for this year’s World Scrabble Championship saw Isaac Mensah finishing second.
George Addo, Victor Amartey and Fatawu Bayenang who came all the way from Wa in the Upper West Region followed in that order.
