Sarkodie’s ‘Try Me’ is childish tantrums – Prince David

Ghanaian actor Prince David has described rapper Sarkodie’s song, Try Me, which seeks to explain his side of the story in abortion claims against him by Yvonne Nelson as mere childish tantrums.

In a series of tweets earlier today, June 29, the popular actor questioned why any man will get a woman pregnant, not own up to his responsibilities and later label her a whore.

Prince David questioned why Sarkodie will knowingly have unprotected sex with a supposed promiscuous woman.

Prince David entreated men to respect and value the women they have been intimate with in the past since “Real men treat women with kindness, empathy, and respect, regardless of the circumstances”.

Prince David wrote:

Childish Tantrums!! Never let the kid in you destroy the king in you … Whoever sleeps with a woman get her pregnant and don’t own up as man and goes about labeling her “Whore” is the dumbest asshole ever .. She was a “Whore” yet you shagged her unprotected got her pregnant!! God have mercy on those supporting tomfoolery!! #respectwomen.

“It’s about respecting and valuing the women we have been intimate with in the past. It’s never okay to use derogatory terms or make someone feel embarrassed for something as natural as intimacy. Real men treat women with kindness, empathy, and respect, regardless of the circumstances. Let’s all strive to create a world where every person is valued and treated with dignity. Take care! 🌟Good Morning”.

As a revered rapper, Sarkodie set social media on fire and on number one trends when he denied claims that he forced actress Yvonne Nelson to have an abortion in 2010 in his latest song.

Stating his side of the story in a new song, Try Me, which has since gone viral since it was released Tuesday, June 27, 2023, the Country Side hitmaker disclosed that even though he wasn’t prepared at the time, he wanted her to keep the baby but Yvonne refused on grounds of being in school.

He mentioned that even though he didn’t want to disclose that side of his life till death, he has been forced to come out since Yvonne Nelson told a story which favours her.

There have been mixed feelings for Try Me with some applauding Sarkodie for boldly telling his side of the story while critics had lashed out at the two time VGMA Artiste of the Year for his choice of what they believe is derogatory to a lady he has been intimate with in the past.
