Black Queens dismiss Guinea to advance in Olympic qualifiers

The Black Queens of Ghana have consolidated their place in the play-offs of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers with an emphatic 4-0 thumping of Guinea at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The scoreline makes it 7-0 on aggregate for the Queens, who already boast of a 3-0 away win in the first leg played at Conakry on Friday, July 14.

A box-to-box midfielder Evelyn Badu hit the back of the net twice as she opened the scoring with a solo right wing finish in the 36th minute before adding another one in the 59th minute.

Striker Princella Adubea scored the second goal in the 52nd minute while Firdaus Yakubu added the fourth in the 85th minute. More to follow…
