The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, has disclosed that six of the 10 Youth and Sports Centres being constructed across the country are nearing completion.

The six facilities which the Minister said had reached an average rate of completion of 92 per cent are expected to be commissioned this year. The facilities are located in Axim, Dunkwa-on-Offin, Dormaa Ahenkro, Wa, Koforidua, and Ho.

He further disclosed that efforts are underway to resume work on phase two of the project for the remaining four centres, which include the centres located at Nyinahin, Yendi, Navorongo and the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex in Kaneshie, Accra.

Mr Ussif made this known today at a press briefing held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the Ministry of Information Press Centre in Accra.
