Real Betis Balompie signs Ghanaian talent, Mawuli Mensah, in 3-Year Deal

Real Betis Balompie, a Spanish La Liga club, has successfully signed promising Ghanaian youngster, Mawuli Mensah.

The 19-year-old midfielder sealed a three-year contract to join the ranks of the La Liga side from Antequera CF during this summer’s transfer window.

Mensah showcased his versatility and skills, catching the eye of Manuel Pelligrini’s team, as he played a key role in Antequera CF’s promotion to the First RFEF league.

“Real Betis Balompié and Antequera CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of Mawuli Mensah to the first Verdiblanco subsidiary. The young Ghanaian footballer (Accra, November 15, 2003) will be linked to the Club de las Trece Barras until 2026,” stated Betis on their official website.

Elated about his new opportunity, Mensah expressed his eagerness to make a significant impact in the upcoming season. “I’m very happy for this opportunity. My dream is to go up to the first team,” he shared.

While the talented midfielder will initially train with the youth setup, Pelligrini plans to gradually integrate him into the first team.

Before his move to Spain, Mensah had previously played for the Ghanaian side, Shooting Stars.
