Koby Symple serves ‘Dear Mr Symple’ on August 25

TEN years after of serving music enthusiasts with his music, Afrobeats artiste, Koby Symple is ready to host his maiden concert dubbed, Dear Mr Symple at the Pempamsie Hotel, Cape-Coast on Friday, August 25.

The upcoming concert which Koby Symple, real name, Godfred Kobina Abavana describes as “historic” will also see him unveil his new EP also titled Dear Mr Symple.

The Dear Mr Symple EP has five songs—Straight Win, Striker, Ekye, Adam Nana and Straight Win (Amapiano version).

The show, publicised to start at 7: 00 pm will have the likes of Kojo Vypa, S2G, Orkortor Perry, Boggy Wednesday, Black Tana and Essi More support Koby Symple on his big day.

In a chat with Graphic Showbiz, Koby who started commercial music in 2013 expressed his excitement over his first headline show.

He noted that even though it had been long in coming, he was not been under pressure since there are times and seasons for everyone.

“It is even fulfilling just thinking of hosting this concert in the next few weeks.  I see it as a plus to my career. I have always looked forward to do this and I’m glad this season has permitted it to happen.

“I appreciate all my colleagues who have confirmed to support me. However, there’s going to be a surprise act that I know patrons will love to see on stage.

“This is also a special invite to those who have supported my career especially from my home Central Region to come and back me at such a special time in my music career,” he stated.

Koby Symple, a trained teacher started music fully in 2013 and since then, he has released over 20 songs and one EP. He describes his style of music as “a blend of Highlife and Afrobeats.”

Over the years, he has featured artistes such as Sarkodie, Kofi Kinaata and Medikal and very confident that his yet to be unveiled EP will further his fortunes on the music scene.
