My aim is to draw people closer to God – Israel

ALTHOUGH he has been in the music space for more than a decade, Gospel musician, Israel is yet to blow.

However, he says he is not really bothered about that so far as he is drawing people closer to God.                                        

 Speaking in an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Israel, born Isreal Ofori said his main aim of doing music is to win souls for the kingdom of God and he is glad that has been achieved over the years.                                                

  “I have had the opportunity to perform on different platforms and the testimonies after my ministration urges me on. You don’t really need to blow to draw people closer to God.

“I believe in times and seasons, so when God says it’s time, I will blow. In fact, the Lord is worthy of blowing, not me. My job is to serve His people across the global with the gift He blessed me with which is to draw souls and bring glory to His name” he said.                                                        

 Israel’s new song is Ene Wo. The song released on Friday, August 4 praises God for the wonderful things He has done in our lives. Although the song is rendered in a low pace, Ene Wo which passes for a worship song is soothing to the ear and with a little push, it will get the attention of everyone.                                   

 Israel,who has other songs like Aseda featuring Yaw Sarpong and Asomafuo and Ebenezer said when you believe in what you do and continue to hold on to it, you will finally be accepted.                                 

“I believe when you are on the right path, you shouldn’t let anyone discourage you and I know I am on the right path. Soon and very soon, that long waited dream will finally come to pass. In this life, you need to go through certain things to sharpen you”, he added.                                                        

Israel, a graduate of Regent University of Sciences and Technology who is also the Chief Editor of Gospelhubgh, a website intends to work with the best of Gospel musicians in Ghana.

He has performed at various events such as Men of Worship, Ghana, TV3 Bands Alive, Next Generation Gospel Ministers, and Ceccy Twum’s Gold Worship, Hearts Worship.
