Natty Borax urges action from Deputy Minister Mark Okraku Mantey

The accomplished lyricist, Natty Borax, has called upon Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku Mantey, and other industry stakeholders to become more proactive.

Natty Borax has expressed concern that Mr. Okraku Mantey, who was once a vibrant figure in the industry, has been relatively inactive since taking on his ministerial role. He believes that it’s time for him to step up to the challenges at hand.

In an interview, Natty Borax voiced his frustration, suggesting that the lackadaisical approach of the Deputy Minister and key figures like Bice Osei Kuffour (known as Obuor) has widened the gap between Ghana and Nigeria within the music industry.

The artist emphasized, “I believe Okraku Mantey is sleeping; he should be more active. He possesses the necessary expertise and connections to elevate our industry, but he has been rather quiet since assuming his ministerial position.”

Natty Borax, known for his distinctive dreadlocked appearance, further commented, “Similarly, Obuor was a dedicated advocate until recently. Now, as the CEO of Ghana Post, which is not a negative role, he appears to have shifted away from the Obuor we once knew. They need to step up their efforts.”
