Modern Gospel Awards board welcomes Jorellomusiq to Ghana

Ghanaian singer and instrumentalist Abraham Owusu Amoah popularly known as Jorellomusiq was welcomed by the board of Modern Gospel Award delegation at the Kotoka International airport on Monday, September 4, 2023.

The delegation was led by the CEO Nana Amo Baffour, secretary Pastor Douglas, his assistant Charity and the media including FOKA TV.

The purpose of the meeting was to present his plaque for winning the 2023 Modern Gospel Awards Instrumentalist of the Year and to properly welcome him to Ghana after his European tour.

Jorellomusiq expressed his appreciation to the organisers of Modern Gospel Awards adding, “I’m very happy to be welcomed by such a big delegation and I’m super excited for winning the instrumentalist of the year award.”

Jorellomusiq was trending on TikTok with a video of him performing on BBC last week and he mentioned that it was a great opportunity for him because the lead singer who was supposed to sing, was absent and the mandate fell on him to deliver.

Coming from a home with many music talents, Jorellomusiq’s nurtured his music career at a young age and also took lots of inspiration from musicians such as Long John, Armaah Pino and Obozz.

He also understudied talented instrumentalists and drummers like Paakow, Francis Osei, the late Evans Kuma, late Siisi Frank, Frank Kissi among others who groomed and brought more light into his career.

Jorellomusiq has performed with a number of prominent musicians such as Sarkodie, Kofi Kinaata, Shatta Wale, Okyeame Kwame, Samini, Stonebwoy and former Black stars captain Asamoah Gyan.

He has also played with the likes of Akwaboah, hyskull bandgh, Deepwave band, Fatau keita and won an award at MIA Festival in 2016.

At the moment, Jorellomusiq is a member of Sounds and Joy music group but he is looking forward to be a solo artiste in future.
