Onyansapow Bowaanopow drops video of ‘The Preacher’s Love Song’

US-based Ghanaian Highlife artiste, Onyansapow Bowaanopow is out with the video of his latest song, ‘The Preacher’s Love Song’.

The video which dropped on Wednesday, August 30, comes a few weeks after the release of ‘The Preacher’s Love Song’ and according to Onyansapow Bowaanopow, it is to give listeners a better understanding of the theme of love he is preaching on the song.

Shot in locations in both Ghana and USA, the video treats viewers to the greens scenery of villages.

It was directed by Keith and Collins Reagan of Reagan Studios and Isaac Agyapong.

‘The Preacher’s Love Song’ is a story of a young man whose pledges his full commitment to the happiness of his partner.

The song was written and performed by Onyansapow Bowaanopow and produced by Kin Dee.

At the start of 2023, Onyansapow Bowaanopow, real name, William Sessi was particular about making positive strides when he released ‘Prayer’ in January.

He told Graphic Showbiz he remains devoted to representing Highlife music and ‘The Preacher’s Love Song’ upholds his new stance.

Perhaps, his decision is working for him considering that the video has over 103,000 views as at Monday, September 4, when Graphic Showbiz checked on YouTube.

“There’s this widely held opinion that Highlife is old-fashioned but I beg to differ because ‘The Preacher’s Love Song’, which is Highlife has given me lots of attention in the last few days.

“The video is equally doing well with 100,000 views just in about three days of its release. I don’t recall any of my songs getting such mileage,” he stated.

Onyansapow Bowaanopow, who is known for songs such as ‘Never Say Die, Fix It’, ‘We Move’ and ‘’Dabein’ is encouraging young artistes to pursue Highlife music since it projects Ghanaian culture just as the video of ‘The Preacher’s Love Song’ is doing.
