Alan Kyeremanten wants us to believe Ghanaians want him to be President but NPP is against him -Nana Aba Anamoah

Popular Ghanaian media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah has stated that Alan Kyeremanten’s decision to quit the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and go independent in next year’s general elections is to create the impression that Ghanaians are yearning for him to be president but the NPP is against it.

Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, a former Minister of Trade and Industry stated in press conference on Monday, September 25, that he will contest the upcoming 2024 presidential elections as an independent candidate.

He explained that his decision to establish a new Movement for Change in Ghana was premised on his passion to bring renewed hope to Ghana especially the teeming youth who are calling for change and to be saved from the duopoly of NPP and NDC governance.

As expected, the news of his resignation from the NPP and to go independent has been making headlines since yesterday and a number of celebrities have not been left out of the ongoing conversation.

Taking to her Twitter page to express her opinion about Alan’s decision, the outspoken broadcaster wrote, “In short, Alan K wants us to believe that majority of Ghanaians want him to be President but the NPP is against him”.

While the Fourth Republic is not lacking in political parties of different persuasions, none had come close to usurping the supremacy of the NPP and the NDC.

Those who finish in third place always come at a big distance from the two front runners and already, the reality of Alan Kyeremanten’s dream of becoming Ghana’s president as an independent candidate appears to be stamped on by a number of commentators.
