The Chief Accountant and the Director of National Sports Authority find themselves in difficult situations as they struggle to provide a plausible explanation for the diversion of funds from events held in Accra to their Kumasi account. This baffling move has raised serious concerns about their integrity and has left many questioning the transparency of financial management within the organization.
During a sitting of Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee on Monday, February 5, revelations emerged regarding irregularities in the handling of finances by the NSA. The Chairperson of the Committee, James Klutse Avedzi, called for an urgent special audit of the NSA by the Auditor General in light of these disturbing findings.
