RESHUFFLING OF MINISTERS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE WHEN THERE WAS A WIDE SPREAD DEMAND FOR IT – MUSTAPHA SAMBA

In a lively discussion on AIT TV’s morning show, Mr. Mohamed Mustapha Samba from the NDC Communication bureau shared his views on the recent ministerial reshuffle.

Mustapha, speaking on behalf of the NDC, expressed his concerns about the reshuffle. He mentioned listening to the president’s interview where the president stated that the reshuffle was done for the benefit of Ghanaians. However, Mustapha disagreed with this assertion.

According to Mustapha, the purpose of reshuffling ministers and cabinets is to reorganize and strengthen the government’s performance. He emphasized that this should be done at a reasonable time. While the constitution doesn’t specify the process or timing for reshuffling, Mustapha believed that changes should be made sensibly.

In Mustapha’s view, if the reshuffle was genuinely aimed at benefiting Ghanaians, it should have been done earlier when there was widespread demand for it. He felt that the timing of the reshuffle didn’t align with the needs expressed by the people.

Overall, Mustapha’s comments sparked a discussion on the timing and intentions behind the ministerial reshuffle
