Tragedy Strikes Kwahu Pub Ahead of Easter Celebrations

In a devastating incident at Kwahu Obomeng, a fire outbreak at the renowned Level 3 Pub, a cornerstone of Kwahu Easter festivities, claimed the life of a worker and left another injured. The untimely incident unfolded at 1:30 am on March 3, 2024, in the wake of a heavy rainfall and subsequent power outage, casting a somber shadow over the Easter preparations.

The Level 3 Pub, nestled in the Kwahu South Municipal Assembly of the Eastern region, is a popular venue for various events, particularly during the Kwahu Easter celebrations. Reports from Agoo FM news indicate that the pub was engulfed in flames, resulting in the tragic loss of a life and injuries to another individual.

Eyewitnesses shared harrowing details, revealing that the deceased, an electrician and skilled cameraman employed at the pub, lost his life as he slept when the fire broke out. His companion, also a laborer from Accra, managed to escape the inferno by leaping out of a window, sustaining injuries in the process.

Both victims were reportedly laborers from the capital, Accra, engaged in renovating the pub ahead of the highly anticipated Kwahu Easter festival. The incident unfolded amidst the preparations for the annual celebration, sending shockwaves through the local community and beyond.
