Renowned veteran actress, Grace Omaboe, popularly known as Maame Dokono, has expressed her fear of dying in a similar manner as the late Prince Yawson, also known as Waakye.

In an interview, Maame Dokono revealed that Waakye’s death was the result of someone’s mistake.

“It was someone’s mistake and Waakye was dead. I spoke with him in the morning of that day and he was dead in the evening. So maybe my death will be like that.”

Recalling the tragic incident, Maame Dokono shared that Waakye’s passing had been sudden. She had spoken to him in the morning, and by the evening, he was gone.
This led her to fear that her own death may occur in a similar manner.

During the interview, Maame Dokono disclosed that Waakye had initially been taken to Ridge Hospital but had to be transferred to 37 Military Hospital due to a lack of beds.

While reminiscing about her colleagues, Maame Dokono also expressed her desire to live a long life, just like her mother who had lived to be 115 years old. At almost 80 years old, she hopes to take good care of herself and potentially achieve a similar lifespan.

“I’m almost 80. I’m hoping to be like my mother. She was 115 years old and if I should take good care of myself, I should be able to live like her.”
