Spintex Knights extend winning streak in Impressive Accra Basketball League win over Leopards

In a remarkable display of dominance, Spintex Knights continued their unbeaten run in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Division One season, securing their 11th consecutive victory. 

The team, in their debut season in Division One, showcased their prowess by defeating Adenta Leopards Basketball Club with a commanding scoreline of 67-28 at the Prisons Basketball Court in Cantonments, Accra last Friday.

Spintex Knights have emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the league, having yet to taste defeat since their promotion. With their impressive performance, they now find themselves in a favourable position to qualify for the playoffs. 

In recognition of their secured position, Coach Selorm Thomas opted to give valuable game time to some of the substitutes during the clash against Adenta Leopards.

The first quarter saw a competitive start, with the Knights leading by a narrow margin of 12-6. However, Adenta Leopards mounted a brief comeback in the early stages of the second quarter, narrowing the deficit to just two points. 

In response, Coach Thomas made strategic substitutions, calling on his bench strength to maintain the Knights’ momentum.

The second quarter witnessed a significant shift in favor of the Knights, as they outscored the Leopards 28-10, further extending their lead. The dominance continued into the third quarter, with the Knights displaying their offensive prowess and maintaining a commanding lead of 50-18.

In the fourth quarter, the Knights showcased their fast break skills, punishing the Leopards and scoring an additional 17 points. The match concluded with a final score of 67-28 in favor of the Spintex Knights.
