FBNBank wins employee excellence award

FBNBank Ghana  has won the Employee Empowerment Excellence Award at the 5th edition of the 2023 Health Environmental Safety and Security (HESS) awards which was recently held in Accra.

The HESS award  is designed to identify and publicly celebrate outstanding companies for their exceptional performance and innovations focused on occupational health, environment, safety and security (HESS).

It is also intended to promote the implementation of best practices in HESS management systems, which embody the classical model through the “Plan-Do-Check-Act” cycle.

The theme for this year’s event was: “Building a sustainable future of work through Health, Environment, Safety and Security.”

Receiving the award on behalf of the bank were the Treasurer of the company, Grace Isaac-Aryee, the Head of Retail Banking, Allen Quaye, and the Country Team Lead of  Marketing and Corporate Communications, Enoch Vanderpuye.

Gratitude

Mrs Isaac-Aryee dedicated the award to all the employees of the bank and expressed hope that the recognition would encourage them to achieve their best.

She also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the organisers for the thorough processes in nominating awardees and for acknowledging the efforts of the bank.

She further said the bank, over the years, had recognised that its employees were the greatest asset.

Therefore, she said the bank supported and empowered its employees to excel in an enabling, conducive working environment while it invested in their growth and well-being.

“Our employees are one of our major stakeholders who, over the years, have played significant roles in the success of the bank.

They are ambassadors of the bank and we will always continue to keep them at the heart of what we do,” she stated.

Talent programme

Mrs Isaac-Aryee said the bank introduced a talent programme and has, since then, deployed resources to attract, develop and retain the right talents who over the years have contributed towards the bank’s growth.

The programme, she said, spanned from fresh graduates to top level executives who thrived within the bank’s structured grading system that fostered opportunities for performance driven careers throughout the company.
