Alfred Lamptey aims high after stopping Richard Pumicpic

Ghana’s undefeated super featherweight boxer, Alfred Lamptey, believes he is on track towards achieving his biggest dream after stopping Filipino Richard Pumicpic in one round in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) last week.

The Ghanaian prospect promised to work harder to achieve his dream of becoming a world champion.

The 21-year-old fighter is optimistic that his unblemished professional record will propel him to greater heights in the future.

“This is a big win for me, especially where I had to achieve it away from home,” Lamptey told Graphic Sports.

“I have been working hard to achieve my dream of becoming a world champion and I believe I am on course,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lamptey is hoping to get more fights this year after the emphatic win over Pumicpic to remain active in the ring.

He is confident of maintaining his consistency by performing well in future bouts to enable him to attract the attention of top promotions and secure more opportunities to move up in the ranks.

Lamptey could soon relocate to the US to begin his quest to fight in a world championship in the coming years.
