Tripcy eyes Uncovered Artiste at ‘GMA UK’

BUDDING musician, Tripcy is eyeing the Uncovered Artiste title at the upcoming Ghana Music Awards (GMA) UK.

With a growing fan base and a number of songs to his credit, Tripcy believes he stands tall in the category and believes he can grab the title.

In a chat with Graphic Showbiz, Tripcy, born Prince Selorm Gayome expressed excitement about the nomination.

“It’s an incredible honour to be nominated for this award. It’s a testament to the hard work my team and I have put into creating music that resonates with people.

“I am deeply grateful for the support of my fans, and I look forward to continue to share my music with the world,” he stated.

He was equally hopeful that winning the award will provide him with the right exposure not only in the Ghanaian music industry but also build his popularity beyond the country.

 With an artful blend of English, Twi, Ga, Ewe, and Pidgin, he seamlessly merges his Ghanaian heritage with the infectious rhythms of Afrobeats.

Tripcy made his notable entrance into the industry with ‘Dangote’, which didn’t only showcase his lyrical prowess but also featured the iconic Dancehall act, Shatta Wale.

It was a bold announcement of his presence on the music scene and Tripcy has been working hard to cement the attention.

Tripcy’s exploits continued with a series of remarkable collaborations, most notably Only One, where he teamed up with Camidoh.

Also, a significant milestone in his career was the release of his debut EP, ‘Hasty’ which he collaborated with his colleague and longtime friend, Mega EJ.

Tripcy’s journey soared to new heights with the release of his single, ‘Freeway RMX’ which featured South Africa’s Lady Du and Nigeria’s Davido.

The song captured the hearts of music enthusiasts and received good reviews from the likes of Stonebwoy and King Promise.
