WANTED: Security agencies in Ghana, Burkina Faso looking for suspected terrorists hiding in Sissala area

Some suspected terrorists said to be hiding in the Sissala area in the Upper West Region, have been declared wanted by the security agencies.

The security agencies in Ghana and Burkina Faso have launched a manhunt for the suspects.

They are said to be hiding in Fatchu in the Sissala West District.

Graphic Online understands that, one of them is a wanted person in Burkina Faso and the police picked information he was hiding at a place in Burkina Faso, which is close to Fatchu in Ghana.

They bolted even before the police arrived at their hideout.

Information gathered by the security agencies indicate that the suspected terrorists crossed the Burkinabe border into Ghana on Wednesday, September 27 at about 11:45 GMT.

The security agencies raided the hideout of the suspects and found a Ghanaian voter ID card, two (2) mobile phones, an unspecified number of ammunition, clothing, and eight motorcycles among other items.

When the mobile phones were searched photos of men, some dressed in military regalia holding guns were seen.

One of them bears the same resemblance to a wanted terrorist in Burkina Faso with the name Diallo Noufou.

He, however, has a Ghanaian voter ID card bearing the name Abdulai Ibrahim.

The security agencies in Gwollu have been notified of this development and are currently conducting patrols intermittently in and around Fatchu.
