My songs were Copyrighted on social media without my knowing – Dinah Hammond

Veteran gospel artist Dinah Hammond has revealed how most of her songs were registered on some social media platforms by unidentified individuals who claimed copyright ownership for about 8 years.

She told MC Kafukafu in an exclusive interview on Big Xclusive Show on AIT TV about how about 14 of her songs were registered by these individuals, using her official picture and name as the profile details.

According to her, she was not accustomed to social media at the time she released her songs, which gave the person the opportunity to take such action. She realized this when encountering a copyright error while trying to upload her songs several years later.

However, she was able to report and retrieve her songs from the impersonator but could not receive any benefits from the person.

Dinah Hammond has released a new song titled “My Prayer,” which is available on all digital media platforms. She is set to host a program titled “Giving My Best” on November 19, 2023, at End Time Assembly of God in Adenta, starting at 4 pm. The album launch will feature prominent personalities such as Reverend Hammond, her husband, ACP Kofi Sarpong, Vine Praise, among others.
