Ghana Police Service Ready for Incident-Free 2024 Elections – DCOP Waabu Assures

The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Prince Gabriel Waabu, affirmed the Ghana Police Service’s unwavering dedication to ensuring a peaceful and incident-free 2024 election season.

In an interview with JoyNews on Monday, February 19, 2024, DCOP Waabu underscored the service’s commitment to safeguarding citizens throughout the electoral process.

He outlined the implementation of various structures and strategies aimed at ensuring the safety and security of the public.

These efforts include extensive sensitisation programs and collaborations with relevant agencies to address potential challenges proactively.

Additionally, DCOP Waabu highlighted the ongoing training of over 300 recruits, enhancing the police force’s capacity to address security concerns during the elections.

During the launch of JoyNews’ #ElectionHQ 2024 Election Coverage, DCOP Waabu referenced the successful internal elections held the previous year as a testament to the Ghana Police Service’s preparedness and competence in managing electoral processes.
