Urgent Financial Assistance Needed for 8-Year-Old Battling Leukemia

Akua Ankumah, an 8-year-old student of Our Lady of Holy Cross Catholic School in Kasoa, is currently fighting for her life at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where she is undergoing crucial treatment.

Diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Akua urgently requires a Bone Marrow Transplant, which can only be performed at Max Hospital in India.

The estimated total cost for her comprehensive medical care,which encompasses a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), Salvage Chemotherapy, Room rent in Delhi, Cost of Surgery, and other necessary expenses, has been reported by Doctor Nivedita Dhingra, Head of the Department of Hematology and BMT at Max Hospital, Patparganj, to be 87,000 USD.

Realizing the financial strain on Akua’s family, her loved ones are reaching out to the community for support.
