MUSIGA plans concert to showcase Emerging Artists .

The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), led by interim president Bessa Simons, is gearing up for an exhilarating concert scheduled for March 6th. This concert aims to showcase the immense talents of emerging artists within the Ghanaian music scene. Set to coincide with Ghana’s Independence Day, the event promises to be a lively celebration of the country’s rich musical heritage, providing a much-needed platform for up-and-coming musicians to exhibit their skills and creativity.

Bessa Simons expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming concert, emphasizing its pivotal role in nurturing and promoting young talent while also bolstering the local music industry. He highlighted MUSIGA’s dedication to supporting aspiring musicians and providing them with opportunities to gain exposure and recognition on a larger stage.

In addition to the concert, MUSIGA has organized a series of related events aimed at furthering the development of Ghana’s music scene. On March 5th, there will be a music and tourism workshop designed to explore the intersection between music and tourism, followed by a health screening specifically tailored for musicians. Moreover, on March 11th, MUSIGA will launch the “Let’s Play Ghana Music” project, an initiative aimed at reigniting public interest and enthusiasm for Ghanaian music.

Looking ahead, another concert is scheduled for March 30th, which will focus on promoting highlife music at the Gold Coast Restaurant. These events collectively represent MUSIGA’s commitment to fostering the growth and vitality of Ghana’s music industry while also providing valuable opportunities for emerging artists to showcase their talent and connect with potential collaborators and supporters.
