The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) opposition party, Sammy Gyamfi, has defended the party’s decision to retain Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as its running mate for the 2024 elections.

Gyamfi highlighted that Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang embodies qualities of integrity and substance, making her an outstanding choice for the role.

“Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang is a woman of substance, a woman of integrity and a woman of character.”

In a recent Facebook post, Gyamfi reiterated that John Mahama made a wise decision in selecting Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate, stating that her inclusion will significantly enhance their chances of success in the upcoming elections.

“She is the Running mate to the flagbearer of the great NDC for the 2024 general elections. And by the grace of God, she will be Ghana’s first female Vice President, come 7th January 2025,” he posted.

Describing Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as a woman of integrity, substance, and character, Gyamfi expressed confidence that she will serve effectively as the running mate to the NDC’s flagbearer in the 2024 elections, with the hope that she will become Ghana’s first female Vice President come January 7, 2025.

Furthermore, Mahama has emphasized that Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s integrity and dedication were pivotal in her selection as his running mate for the second time, noting that these qualities position her as an ideal candidate to assist him in leading the party to victory in the upcoming election.
