I will dredge to get a sea for Kumasi; Cheddar.

In a bold move set to revolutionize Ghana’s economic landscape, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as “Cheddar,” has unveiled his ambitious plan to extend the sea from the coast to the Ashanti region if elected into office. The presidential hopeful and leader of The New Force Movement believes this initiative will propel international trade and significantly enhance Ghana’s economic prowess.

Drawing inspiration from Dubai’s successful dredging projects, Cheddar envisions a future where Ghanaian goods can be transported swiftly and efficiently via the sea, cutting down on transportation time and reducing damage to goods during transit. Speaking passionately about his vision during an interview in Kumasi, he emphasized the urgency of modernizing Ghana’s transportation infrastructure.

“Why are we still transporting individual containers by road when the sea could offer a faster and more efficient means?” questioned Cheddar, highlighting the inefficiencies of the current transportation system. “In 2024, why should we be bringing containers one after the other from Tema harbor in Accra to Kumasi, only to find half of the goods destroyed upon arrival?”

Cheddar’s plan involves the construction of an eastern corridor, complete with state-of-the-art infrastructure and energy stations. He envisions a seamless connection between the coast and the inland regions, facilitating the swift movement of goods and fostering industrial growth. Moreover, he aims to leverage Ghana’s abundant resources, such as plastics, to drive local manufacturing and innovation.

“I want to connect the gas and build industrials. Let us create our own mobile phones and laptops,” declared Cheddar, emphasizing the importance of self-sufficiency and technological advancement in Ghana’s development journey.

Highlighting his track record as an industrialist, Cheddar pointed to his business venture, Petronia, as a testament to his commitment to industrialization. “I started screaming about industrialization 13 years ago before I hit age 30,” he proudly proclaimed, urging stakeholders to rally behind his vision for a prosperous Ghana.

In addition to his infrastructure plans, Cheddar called for a paradigm shift in the way society views and supports young visionaries. Drawing parallels with successful entrepreneurs like Mark Zuckerberg, he emphasized the need for the older generation to nurture and empower the youth to drive meaningful change.

“The elderly should believe in the visions of the young ones and help them achieve dreams that would be of betterment to the nation,” urged Cheddar, highlighting the importance of intergenerational collaboration in shaping Ghana’s future.

With his visionary leadership and bold proposals, Cheddar has captured the imagination of Ghanaian youth, who see in him a champion of their aspirations and a beacon of hope for a brighter future. As Ghana prepares for its upcoming elections, all eyes are on Cheddar and his transformative vision for the nation.
