In a studio discussion on the popular show “Showbiz City” aired on AIT TV, entertainment pundit Nana Kwaku Duah took a strong stance against Cheddar’s audacious claim of bringing the sea to Kumasi, labeling it as nothing short of deception. The controversy unfolded when Afia Schwarzneggar publicly called out Cheddar for his bold statement, sparking a fiery debate among industry insiders and commentators.

Nana Kwaku Duah minced no words as he lambasted Cheddar’s assertion, stating unequivocally, “There is no way Cheddar can bring the sea to Kumasi, and he is lying to the people of Kumasi.” He went further to emphasize that such false promises amounted to an insult to the residents of Kumasi, suggesting that Cheddar should be barred from setting foot in the city.

Efya, another prominent figure in the entertainment scene, echoed similar sentiments, condemning Cheddar’s statement as deceitful and harmful to the reputation of Kumasi. She asserted that such grandiose claims only served to undermine the intelligence of the populace.

During the discussion on AIT TV, Nana Kwaku Duah reiterated his stance, declaring, “Cheddar’s statement is an insult to the people of Kumasi and should be banned from coming to Kumasi.” He emphasized the pressing issues facing the nation, including the ongoing electricity crisis, and argued that allocating resources to dredging a sea to Kumasi was impractical and unrealistic.

In a personal reflection on the matter, Nana Kwaku Duah expressed skepticism about the feasibility of Cheddar’s proposal, citing financial constraints and existing national crises. “We do not have the money for that,” he stated, highlighting the dire need to address more pressing issues before entertaining extravagant ventures.

Furthermore, he dismissed comparisons to Dubai’s achievements, emphasizing that the economic and infrastructural disparities between the two countries made such a feat unattainable for Kumasi in the foreseeable future. “Even if it will be possible, it is not now,” he concluded, dismissing Cheddar’s personal achievements as irrelevant to the task at hand.

As the debate rages on, Cheddar’s bold declaration continues to draw criticism and skepticism from industry insiders and the public alike, raising questions about the boundaries between ambition and reality in the world of entertainment and development.
