Prof. Opoku-Agyemang conveyed this message while representing NDC’s Flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama, at two notable events in the Shama Constituency last Saturday. She attended the enstoolment ceremony of the Chief of Anto, Nana Kofi Bekoe III, and the 10th anniversary celebration of the Chief of Essaman, Osabarima Nana Kofi Ewuah V.
During her address at the enstoolment ceremony, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang emphasized the importance of supporting the newly appointed chief in bringing development to the region, urging the community to back both the chief and the NDC’s parliamentary candidate, Emilia Arthur, who is committed to collaborating for the area’s progress.
Additionally, she encouraged the youth to prioritize their education and training, highlighting the significance of their contributions to national development.
At the anniversary celebration in Essaman, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang underscored the importance of preserving and understanding Ghanaian culture, advocating for its promotion and unity within communities. On behalf of Mr. Mahama, she made a generous donation of GH¢5,000 to support the fundraising efforts for a new health center in the area.
Accompanied by the NDC parliamentary candidates for Shama and Essikado-Ketan, Ms. Emilia Arthur and Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, as well as regional and constituency executives, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s presence signified the party’s commitment to the welfare and development of the Western Region.
In summary, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s impassioned plea resonates with the people of Shama, urging them to unite behind the NDC and its candidates for a promising future filled with development and progress.
