In a shocking turn of events, authorities have apprehended four students from the prestigious Legon Presec school, along with two accomplices, for orchestrating a fake kidnapping scheme. The elaborate plot aimed to extort funds from one of the student’s parents to finance their aspirations of traveling abroad.

Preliminary investigations conducted by the police shed light on the disturbing scheme. It was revealed that one of the juveniles, driven by a desire to secure funds for international travel, hatched the plan in collusion with the others. Their scheme involved staging a kidnapping incident and demanding a hefty ransom from the victim’s parents.

The ransom demand, totaling a staggering Three Hundred and Forty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵ 340,000.00), was an attempt to coerce the victim’s family into compliance. However, the investigation uncovered that the perpetrators managed to obtain only a fraction of their demanded sum. They successfully collected Twenty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵20,000.00) from the victim’s parents before their fraudulent scheme unraveled.

This brazen act of deception has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting authorities to swiftly intervene and apprehend those responsible. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the lengths some individuals are willing to go to fulfill their ambitions, regardless of the consequences.

The Legon Presec school, renowned for its academic excellence, has expressed dismay over the involvement of its students in such a scandalous affair. School authorities have pledged to cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies to ensure that justice is served.

As the investigation progresses, the full extent of the students’ involvement and the motives behind their actions are expected to come to light. Meanwhile, the incident serves as a cautionary tale, highlighting the importance of vigilance and integrity in the pursuit of one’s goals.
