GFA supports Ampem Darkoa Ladies with $20,000 for CAF Champs League qualifiers

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announce a $20,000 support to Women’s Premier League side Ampem Darkoa Ladies towards their Women’s Champions League campaign.

The team is currently in Nigeria for the third edition of the WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers, which started on Sunday, August 20, 2023.

The support from the Association was meant for air tickets for their trip to Benin City, Nigeria where the WAFU B qualifiers are taking place.

Aside from the financial support, the GFA offered the team free accommodation and feeding at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram where they camped for 15 days in readiness for the tournament in Nigeria.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies have already played their first game in the WAFU B competition against Togolese champions Amis du Monde, which they won 4-2.

In a related development, the GFA has supported Medeama Sporting Club and Dreams Football Club with an amount of $30,000 each for their CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup campaigns respectively.
