After making a bold move with the release of her debut single Adun Lei in 2020, Abiana is set to release her first EP titled Taste today, November 24.
The upcoming EP will officially launch at the Alliance Francaise, near Airport City, with performances by Amadzeba, Kwabena Kwabena, Fameye, Epixode, Okyeame Kwame, Worlasi, among others.
In a chat with Graphic Showbiz, Abiana mentioned her excitement about the new project, which she is hopeful will push her brand.
“It has been almost four years since I released my first song and I must admit that the reception has been great. I’ve earned awards during the period and I’m very thrilled to launch my first EP.
“This is a major milestone in my career and that is why I have assembled people who have made impact in my career in one way or the other to join me mark this special occasion on Friday,” she said.
The EP has six songs and according to Abiana, real name, Eldah Dickson, each song has distinct and captivating storytelling experience.
The songs are Highlife, High, Far Away ft Fameye, Desire, Sea Man Love and Do Ni Bi. All the songs were recorded and produced by Dan Grahl except for Far Away which was produced by Liquid Beatz.
Abiana, who is also a songwriter and composer started professional music as a backup singer with Afro Harmony.
She later became the lead singer for Hyskul band in 2014 before going solo in 2020 when she released Adun Lei and followed up with Amen, Bonooni, My House and Far Away. Far Away was released in May this year.
Adun Lei earned two nominations in Best Female Vocal Performance and Songwriter of the Year at the 2021 VGMA.
