New Alliance aims to break the Cycle of Poverty in Ghana

Dr. Michael Abu Sakara Foster, the convener of the National Interest Movement (NIM), has announced that several individuals and entities have expressed their willingness to join forces with Alan Kyerematen in the upcoming elections.

While some have already been consulted and have joined the alliance, others are still in the process of internal consultations and will join at a later stage.

The alliance, known as the Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC), aims to mobilize Ghanaians from all walks of life, regardless of their religious, political, or ethnic affiliations, to elect the first Independent Candidate as the President of Ghana. The focus of the alliance, once in power, will be to break the cycle of poverty and set the country on a new path to prosperity.

The Alliance seeks to challenge the dominance of the NDC and NPP, the two major political parties in Ghana, who have failed to address the fundamental challenges of development in the country despite being in power for 32 years. The divisiveness in Ghanaian politics, the winner-takes-all mentality, and the lack of continuity in government projects have caused hardships for the people of Ghana.

The Alliance aims to form an all-inclusive Government of National Unity, with representation from political parties, the business community, farmers, fishermen, labor unions, faith-based organizations, traditional authorities, civil society organizations, academia, media, and other interest groups. The goal is to create a National Development Plan that goes beyond party manifestos and serves as the blueprint for Ghana’s economic transformation.

Dr. Abu Sakara emphasized the challenges faced in forming a credible alternative through mergers of entities with institutional structures and credible leaders. He acknowledged that resistance and sabotage may occur from both internal and external sources. However, he assured that more details about the Alliance and a full list of its members would be provided in the coming week.
