Ho MP spends Christmas with children

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Ho Central, Mr Benjamin Komla Kpodo, spent Christmas Day with children of cured lepers at the Cured Lepers Village in Ho.

He sang, danced, and played with the children.

He entreated the children to obey their parents and study diligently towards a bright future. Prior to that, the MP donated food items to the cured lepers for the festive occasion.

The caretaker of the Village, Nelson Atito, thanked the MP for the items, saying the donation was touching.

He expressed concern about the delayed disbursement of funds under the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) programmes to the cured lepers in recent times, which he said was causing grave discomfort among them and their children as well.

Mr Atito, therefore, appealed to the MP to intervene and help to bring some relief to them. He said there were about 60 cured lepers in the village.
