The Deputy Executive Director of the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), Dr James Duah, has implored the health system not to lose sight of the COVID-19 pandemic too soon. He encouraged Ghanaians to continue to adhere to the COVID-19 protocol, stating that “there are still cases being recorded at the district level”. “Coming from the field, we witnessed positive cases being recorded. Pfizer Inc has significantly expanded its commitment to the Accord for a Healthier World initiative by offering the full portfolio of medicines and vaccines for which it has global rights on a not-for-profit basis. This is to enable greater health for 1.2 billion people living in 45 lower-income countries. Launched in May 2022, the Accord, a transformative initiative focused on greatly reducing health inequities that exist between many lower-income countries and the rest of the world. NHS app ready
England’s NHS app will be available to use as a vaccine passport from Monday, the government has said – but only for those who have had both doses of the jab. A paper version will also be available – by calling 119 but not through a GP. Both will be available from Monday, 17 May, when the ban on foreign travel is eased.
